KOUGA Municipality continues with their “KEEP KOUGA CLEAN” campaign with the Jeffreys Bay project taking place on Friday 31 May 2019– 09:00 to 12:00
Project coordinator, Christa Venter, indicated that the Municipality has engaged with various roll players during the planning of this event. The community has been invited to be part of the unique project that would benefit all that live in the Kouga Region.
KEEP KOUGA CLEAN CAMPAIGN
Come join the KM Mayor, Horatio Hendricks and the Mayoral Committee on 31 May 2019 for the Beach and Town clean up that will take place from 09:00 – 12:00 (It is Friday)
Business, residents, schools, churches, organized groups, retirement villages, municipal departments, all are invited to participate in this campaign.
The aim of the campaign is to clean and beautify Kouga area with the focus on Jeffreys Bay in time for the Winter Festival.
Three areas have been identified:
1) One team Starting from Walskipper parking, Beach area to Dolphin Beach (7 km)
2) Another team Starting from Kabeljou parking area, Estuary Mouth to Dolphin Beach (5.5 km).
3) Newton Hall (see Special Cleaning Operation 2019)
Please bring cleaning equipment (brooms, shovels, spades, gloves) and yes, water and hats
You can litter pick, fix broken things, trim trees, skoffel, paint, cut grass, collect recyclables, remove illegal dumping etc.
Get your staff out of the office on the day and either join the Mayor on the beach or clean in front of your own building.
You can pledge your support by donating time, support, paint, trucks, equipment or moola, imali, chelete, argent (we need to sustain the cleanliness)
